Robin 086 - Officer Down 02

Behind the Lines.

The story which has begun at pages of Batman, it is continuing at pages of Robin.
Barbara is anxiously waiting home her stepfather when she is informed of the assassination. Meanwhile, the police forces chase Catwoman hot on the trail.
But of course, they are without any success. So they use the Bat-signal, maybe Batman will be more successful.
However, he is busy with catching of a small-time store-robbery gang. During the battery, they turn up the power in the store, the TVs are turned up, and then finally, Batman is also informed of the situation.
In his impotent rage, he almost kills a villain. Nightwing has to intervene to stop him, but his ass is also kicked well.
Meanwhile, Barbara meets the other members of the Batman family, Robin, Nightwing, Azrael and Batgirl (Cassandra Cain).
The Inspectors (Renee Montoya and Crispus Allen) reconstruct the attack from the trace and they find that Catwoman couldn't shot Commissioner Gordon in his back because she was opposite him.

The Super Hero Squad reach this conclusion easier, they simply conclude that this is not Catwoman's style. But where is Batman?
He is already at Commissioner Gordon's hospital bed.
Ed Brubaker takes over the story weaving from Greg Rucka. The first half of the story shows the haste, chaotic disorder, shock and worrying after the assassination haste that then they can begin the real investigation. While the police are progressing by a proficient investigation, the super heroes are doing it by intuitive way to find out at the end of the booklet, which we knew from the outset. Notwithstanding that the story is virtually no progress (they have to somehow hold out the planned seven parts), Brubaker well solves the problem.
The drawers are the Pander brothers, Jacob and Arnold. His draws aren't realistic. As if the faces are carved from rock in a superficial way.

For me, there are simply awful. However, there are well shows the dynamics and drama of the events.
And the panel editing is also very good (see the dramatic climax of the story when Batman is informed of the assassination). So I've a rather ambivalent relationship to them.

Finally even say that I am not entirely clear that why is this a Robin booklet? Robin appears on the pages, but he does nothing just he says two totally uninteresting sentence.
They appear Harvey Bullock (he's probably the one who most furious on the assassination scene, although he is not at all similar), Vincent Del Arrazio and Michael Akins (they are the at Bat-signal scene) and Mackenzine Bock (he is at a press conference scene).
